Repairing bricked Archos 50 Platinum is easy with the RIFF Box.

To resurrect Archos 50 Platinum:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Archos 50 Platinum JTAG pads;
  •  Make sure Archos 50 Platinum is selected in the list of models;
  •  If you use battery, press Power On key;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

Repairing bricked Samsung I9195L is easy with the RIFF Box.
Phone is auto powered on with USB Data Cable connected to the PC while battery is inserted. Please note, battery must be charged. If battery is not charged enough there is chance of getting 0x42 error during connection stage.

To resurrect Samsung I9195L:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Samsung I9195L JTAG pads;
  •  Connect USB cable or insert battery;
  •  Make sure Samsung I9195L is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Repairing bricked Samsung I8190L is easy with the RIFF Box.
Please note, USB cable must be either disconnected or connected to PC. Charger is not allowed. In order to establish connection, insert battery and press Power On.
Problem to establish JTAG connection means the device is dead up to the loader which enables JTAG. In this case phone must be detected via USB cable as “U8500 USB ROM”. Please install drivers which are located in JTAG Manager “Drivers\NTU8500” folder, leave USB cable connected and start resurrection again.

To resurrect Samsung I8190L:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Samsung I8190L JTAG pads;
  •  Attach battery and connect USB cable;
  •  Make sure Samsung I8190L is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  If required, press Power On key;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

To enter download mode:

  •  Disconnect PC cable;
  •  Insert battery;
  •  Hold ‘Volume Down’ and ‘Home’ keys and press Power-On.

RIFF JTAG Manager v1.56 – Create Your own repair packages !

JTAG Manager 1.56

  • Added Repair Packs functionality: allows customers to create own resurrectors.
  • Advanced RIFFBOX customers will be able to create own repair modules for local use only, while RIFFBOX customers with special permissions will be able to distribute own repair packs to all RIFFBOX users.
  • Updates list is re-organized:
    1. added feature to sort updates by name and by date,
    2. updates not browsed by user are marked with bold font for more convenient distinguish of old/new files,
    3. added update files tree view – update files are classified by folders for better convenience,
    4. search file name feature is added: press CTRL+F to open Instant Search window.
  • Timeout if user was deciding which update files to download for too long time is fixed, now there is no timeout,
  • User can do selecting files before clicking Download button for as long time as he wishes.
  • Leading and trailing spaces are removed automatically from login name during registration
