Repairing bricked Pantech A760S is easy with the RIFF Box.

To resurrect Pantech A760S:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Pantech A760S JTAG pads;
  •  Insert Pantech A760S into any USB port for power;
  •  Make sure Pantech A760S is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Select areas to be repaired in the settings window;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  De-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone can enter fastboot mode and flashed with original flasher.

  • Added support for a set of QUALCOMM Snapdragon S4 MCUs (like MSM8960): these devices are added to Targets list
  • Added “Override Embedded I/O Voltage” feature: in some rare cases users can use this option to stabilize the weak signals by increasing/decresing JTAG I/O voltage levels, thus overriding embedded voltage settings in a DLL. For this: click “Advanced Settings” button on the “Box Service” page and select a desired voltage level. NOTE, “Override Settings” is valid for current session only, and it is automatically disabled upon next JTAG Manager startup.
  • Few minor rearrangments & fixes.

RIFF JTAG – HTC via USB more phones supported

  • HTC Thunderbolt USB support added
  • HTC Sensation XL USB support added
  • HTC Inspire USB support added
  • HTC Incredible S USB support added
  • HTC Incredible 2 USB support added

These new updates will allow You to use USB cable to perform any operation on listed models. Remember that this work if Your phone is enumerated on USB port as QHUSB_Dload or Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader device.
In case phone is not enumerated, You might need to use test point method first.

If You need to repair phone after replacing eMMC chip, these are the steps:
  • Launch eMMC MBR/EBR partitioning tool
  • Open desired partitioning file
  • Click “Load Image from file”
  • Click “Repartition eMMC”
  • Close the eMMC plugin
  • Click “Resurrection” and select all options to be repaired, including IMEI and CID
  • Click “Resurrect”
