Resurrecting LG P999 Modem part is very hard because it requires non-beginner soldering skills (since JTAG pads on board are very small and are close to each other).
Phone is auto powered on with USB Data Cable connected to the PC while battery is inside; sometimes during connection pressing Power On key may be required.

To resurrect LG P999 Modem Part:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to LG P999 Modem JTAG pads;
  •  Insert USB Data cable into board and PC;
  •  Make sure LG P999 Modem is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

Resurrecting CDMA USB Modem Sierra 597 is simple. Just make sure you solder all JTAG signals and insert modem into a USB port for it to get powered.
You can select which areas to be repaired during requrrection process.

To resurrect CDMA USB Modem Sierra 597:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Sierra 597 JTAG pads;
  •  Insert Sierra 597 into any USB port for power;
  •  Make sure USB Modem 597 is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Select areas to be repaired in the settings window;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  De-solder JTAG wires;

Please click “Check For Updates” button in order to download and apply new files. Closing all running application before starting update process is recommended.

Please note, there is back cover detecting micro-switch present on the board: without back cover modem will not receive power. Thus, either asemble modem with soldered wires and attach back cover or hold micro-switch manually during all resurrection process.
